Liverpool sign Brazilian goalkeeper Cavalieri

London, July 11: Liverpool have signed Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri from Palmeiras on a four-year deal, the Premier League club said on Friday. The 25-year-old was born and brought up in Brazil but recently gained an Italian passport. He becomes Liverpool's third signing of the close-season following the arrival of defenders Philipp Degen and Andrea Dossena. "I know it won't be easy to get into the team," he told reporters. "I watched some Liverpool games in both the Premier League and Champions League last year and I know Pepe (Reina) is a very good goalkeeper.
